Haven't San Leandro residents had enough?
Sky high gas prices, insurance rates, food prices, inflation and now this?
San Leandro needs infrastructure spending. But, not like this.

Based on this tax, the City would take out loans. How far into debt would the "citizens" take us?
They don't say. But we'd be paying it off for 25 years.
Not fair! We'd be taxed by the size of our parcels, not by how expensive or where our houses are. The same number of dollars may not be much for some but could be a lot for someone else. And not everyone benefits equally. Some would pay their fair share and not get it back.
Prioritizes projects chosen by a select few, not the City staff's objective scoring system and their view of the big picture.
We won't have elected them, but they'd be managing our money.
Who are these "citizens?" They're hand-picked by the Mayor's wife! It should have been a group picked for their objectivity, not by raw politics.
64.7% of residents polled by the City support updating the business license fee framework. That could raise $4.3M/year and lower fees for most small businesses.
Make the City Council do the right thing!
